Update for August

Since I last wrote an update on here the company has been busy with clients and making quality designs and working on promo videos and print for ourselves.  I am currently working on a zombie logo for a client that is selling a zombie apocalypse survival kit.  I posted a rough version on instagram to get reactions but I am saving the final product for the client which he will see sometime next week.
I have also been working on a podcast called The Modern Designer Podcast.  The podcast will focus on issues and topics from the design world that affects different type of media designers.  Right now there is not schedule for the next episode but depending on my work load it might published every other week.  I have set it up so there are guest that are in the industry that I talk with and we discuss topics that are trending for designers of any type and tools and tips to help out during your busy day.  As of right now the Podcast will be up on Spreaker and soon it will be on iTunes for all of you to download and listen to on the go.  I'll have some more for you all soon regarding the podcast very soon but until then enjoy the designs and the first episode coming this week.

Podcast

In the coming weeks me and a friend of mine will be starting a podcast.  The Modern Designer Podcast will cover issues that graphic designers and illustrators want to hear, tech news that we think should be talked about, and tips from a graphic designer and illustrator.  We are currently writing the first podcast and it will be recorded soon and up hopefully on iTunes soon but until then it can be found on Mixcloud.  We will have more info on the podcast very soon but until then we will leave you with the cover art.

ReBranding

For those of you who haven't been on facebook yet and seen the new logo and mascot for the company you'll see it on here with a copy of the press release that was given out today. Today GMC Group Inc. Graphic Design went under a little of a rebranding with a new logo, mascot and motto. We are now "Creating Tomorrow" and looking to the future when designing. There is no need to be looking at the past when its time to innovate design and take it to the next level so here we go. New Official Intro Video

I know its been a while since my last post but I have been busy working for clients and making things run smoothly at GMC Inc. Graphic Design. One of the things I have been working on is the new and updated intro video and small internet campaigns for us that will start as soon as the end of this week with our first viral video. I am more pleased to say that I will be furthering my education and getting my Bachelor degree in Graphic Design so I will pulling double time over the next two months. With all this being said, GMC Group Inc. Graphic Design is on its way to growing as a company and will starting to take more higher profile clients and venturing into web design, video editing, and stock music. This means that our company will be making all the stops to meet your design needs no matter what you are looking for. All this is to expand our horizons and help our clients have a great experience with us and us help our client reach the dream product that they wanted with us. As that being said we will be opening up a portfolio site for all former projects that we have done and can show. As well as have links for each of our designer's sites and blogs for you to get to know them. Coming on our 1 year as a company we are growing faster than what we thought was possible and are happy to be helping so many people. New Intro Video

Today we finally got the finished product for our intro to all of our videos with our Twitter and our lead designers Twitter so it makes it easier for people to contact us plus our blog URL.  We also have two QR codes put in so costumers can get contact information and a direct link to the site.

Business Cards

I've been working on redesigning my business cards from a freelancer to part of a company. In the last post I showed off two QR codes and they are going to come back again.  The new design has the logo for the company on the front with a gloss finish and on the back my contact info with two QR codes to scan so that the client can save my info and go directly go the website.  My cards will by here soon and I will post pics of them on all the sites.  Expect an updated version of this post very soon with physical cards.

QR Codes

The other day I decided to take on a new project for a client, it consist of redoing their business card and they requested the use of QR codes.  I rarely use them but they are useful to get information to a potential client like you web address or you contact info.  There are many different sites to use for this and I took the opportunity to make two of them for you all.  The first one is at the bottom of the homepage which once scanned you are given my contact info while the second one is for the website.

Once you download a QR reader you scan the barcode and it will redirect you to one of two pages.  These codes are useful and all business employees should have them.  It is a useful tool for anyone to try to get views to your site or get contact info to someone.
